Social Innovation and Investment Foundation (Chair of Executive Committee: Shuichi Ohno; address: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as “SIIF”) In light of the Japanese government’s “Basic Policies for Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform 2022” and the current situation in which the Benefit Corporation Law in Europe and the United States (hereinafter referred to as the “BC Law”) is being considered, the SIIF has prepared a proposal regarding the Japanese version of the Benefit Corporation Law and the private-sector certification that supports it. The purpose of the “Survey on Benefit Corporations” (hereafter referred to as “the Survey”) is to compile recommendations on the Japanese version of the Benefit Corporation law system and the private-sector certification that supports it.(hereinafter referred to as “the Survey”) those were conducted and released to the public on Tuesday, March 28, 2012.
